High voltage safety consultancy

The Elektro-Ekspert Ltd. training center offers consultancy services in developing high voltage safety procedures complying with maritime electrical rules and regulations and issuing a maintenance plan on high voltage equipment.

The ship owners and operators of high voltage equipment are required by law to provide management systems that will ensure safe operation and minimize the risk of injury.

This includes:
- records system
- specific procedures and earthing sequences
- definitions of responsibilities and training requirements
- auditing and monitoring the effectiveness of procedures
- proper plant maintenance

Work on or near high voltage equipment presents a higher risk which requires careful assessment and should be carried out in accordance with Permit to Work  system. Only competent persons, fully trained and experienced in this particular work and authorized in writing should be allowed to implement the permit system and operate the high voltage equipment.
